UPDATE TO LAST POST
Guitar God is forgiven. Not that I was really angry with him or anything.

The day after my last post I got an email from him. Turns out he was out of town & that's why he didn't hear the voice msg until then.

I'm sorry that my blogging has been more about my sorry pathetic (lack of) love life than about my GAD. But this is what's occupying my brain at the moment.

I'm worried about work. But that's nothing new. Our semester starts this upcoming week. Normally the week before the semester my department is busy as hell. I spent most of it twiddling my thumbs.

I also generally spend the week before a semester racking up overtime. But last month I got an email from my boss telling me I couldn't work any overtime unless she approved it first. Which on one hand I can understand. But on the other hand I've never abused the overtime thing. It's always been generally understood that I'd work it and claim it if I needed it & I never pushed the envelope.

So this week I worked no overtime, but on Friday I found out that my colleague worked overtime nearly every day this week.

Oh--here's something else that's bothering me...my stupid neighbors. When you look up "white trash" in the dictionary, their pictures are there. Nearly every day, at nearly any given hour, there's fighting and yelling & banging going on. Not banging in the sexual sense, banging as in furniture/cats/people being knocked around.

So the other night it started up again and I heard a woman yell and cry like she was in pain. So I called 911 on them. I don't know what the result was, but I haven't heard much from them since that night. So maybe the main asshole (a big scary guy who could really hurt me if he wanted to) finally racked up enough bad boy points to be incarcerated for a while.

In other news, it is fucking cold outside. I got home last night & ordered pizza. A new place opened up close to where I live so I can pick up and not have to tip a delivery guy. And once I picked it up I decided I wasn't leaving the apartment for the entire weekend.

Although I may leave tomorrow. Rumor has it that it's supposed to warm up tomorrow, so I might do some grocery shopping and venture into the city. I just heard that the Virgin Megastore in Times Square is shutting down. Between that and Circuit City going belly up I could probably score some serious bargains.

I wonder where I'm going to buy big-name cds now that Virgin is closing. The only 2 other music store chains I knew of in NYC were HMV & Tower, and they're both long gone. Wanna hear something ironic? There was a big Tower store in the Lincoln Center plaza. I was in that area recently, and guess who was operating out of the old Tower location? Circuit City.
